An industry veteran with 18 years’ service, Nick joined SJB early in the company’s evolution and has developed his expertise alongside the ever-changing technology services market. Nick progressed organically over the years across a variety of roles and now presently leads The SJB Group as General Manager and Head of Business Operations. Networked internationally up to c-suite and across a variety of businesses from embryonic start-up to Global Blue Chip. Over the years Nick has recruited and mentored newcomers to SJB and has been instrumental in the development of the company’s collateral and go-to-market strategy, both aspects benefiting from his natural flair for business and creative style.

A Technology Services SME, Anna joined The SJB Group in 2010 as a Delivery Consultant, initially filling critical hire assignments in leadership positions for both sales & delivery, before moving into a leadership role, directly managing SJB’s full delivery function. In 2019, Anna transitioned further into key client management and sits now as Client Partner for Strategic accounts, acting as the go-to for some of our most strategically important customers. Knowledgeable in the market, personable in her approach and a keen advocate for Diversity & Inclusion, Anna ensures we continually deliver quality to clients at pace, improve our processes and offerings, while supporting our clients’ wider business objectives.

Daniel is a seasoned executive search professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. He has successfully placed senior executives across various functions, such as CEO, COO, CCO, CRO, and CFO, for leading investment and retail banks, hedge funds, investment funds, challenger banks, financial technology, and energy trading companies.As a Director at SJB, he leads the Financial Services Corporate Officers Practice, where he leverages his deep knowledge of strategy, risk, operations, finance, and audit to deliver high-quality solutions for his clients. He also advises on organizational design and talent management issues, and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from King’s College London and is passionate about finding the best talent for the most challenging roles.

Sarah joined the business in 2018 and is now a Director, specialising in mid to senior-level tax hires within the financial services industry. She has a particular focus on the alternative investment and real estate sectors, where she has built strong, long-standing relationships with senior tax leaders and key decision-makers. Sarah operates on a global basis, partnering with clients across Europe, the US, and Asia.Prior to joining, Sarah worked at a leading specialist tax recruitment firm, giving her a broad foundation across a wide range of tax disciplines. She is recognised for her strong track record of delivery, her consultative and diligent approach, and her ability to navigate complex searches with a solutions-focused mindset.

Sandip comes with over 20 years’ experience in Executive Search. He has led complex multi-hire programmes across the global technology landscape with specialisation in c-suite, leadership and special projects within PE/VC backed enterprise including pre and post-IPO. Previously, Sandip worked for a decade in the Financial Services sector where he partnered with Investment Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Hedge Fund and FinTech clients on their front office searches across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Prior to this Sandip worked with a variety of international corporations leading high profile searches in strategy and corporate development.

Mike is a highly experienced Executive Search professional with over 30 years of success in supporting clients across diverse industries and markets. Throughout his career, he has built a global network of professionals, driven by an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service to both clients and candidates. His passion lies in creating an outstanding experience, consistently striving to provide a best-in-class service. With a wealth of knowledge in the IT Services and Digital Technology markets across both public and private sector, Julienne is a longstanding member of the SJB Leadership team. During her 15 years with the business Julienne has run our on-site Critical Hire Outsource at our flagship client, being responsible for senior stakeholder management whilst simultaneously ensuring a quality high-touch service. Julienne is also currently responsible for SJB’s service provision into strategic new clients, operating as a trusted partner whilst collaborating with senior business leaders and HR to deliver our high-end executive talent and hiring solutions. Julienne is passionate about DE&I and works closely with our customers to bring innovative approaches to diversity within the senior levels of their organisations. Prior to her career at SJB, Julienne worked in Executive and Interim Search both in-house and for tier one agencies.

Matthew heads the Financial Crime and Compliance desk as the SJB group as well as personally handling a range of niche or specialised senior roles within both the buy and sell side. Matthew worked in recruitment copywriting for part of Saatchi and Saatchi, quickly graduating to international recruitment across Defence, IT, Petrochem and Finance. He led the PQE division for Reed Accountancy. He became a partner in a boutique assessment consulting practice in Harley Street, working on the integration of psychometrics and new tests and activities into bespoke management assessment and development programmes.Matthew moved into Executive Search in 2006, soon joining the established compliance and financial crime desk at Correlate Search. Matthew joined the business over a decare ago and has placed mid to senior level executives in compliance, risk, financial crime, legal and selected front office roles in London and Europe, developing particularly strong expertise in wholesale banking, broking, fund management, fintech and relocation searches.

Richard is a market-respected executive search specialist with over 25 years’ experience delivering senior leadership and front-office talent across global financial services. His expertise spans Investment Banking and Global Markets, Private Credit and Alternatives, Investment Management, Insurance/ILS, Digital Infrastructure and Project Finance, and the Commodities and Energy markets.Renowned for his ability to secure high-impact hires, orchestrate team lift-outs, and build resilient executive benches, Richard advises clients on succession, compensation, and talent intelligence across North America, Asia, and Europe. His early career in institutional derivatives sales provides a commercial edge that informs his approach and elevates outcomes for clients operating in highly competitive markets.

Calum has moved up the ranks quickly in his 5 years with the SJB Group. Starting with us as a Delivery Consultant, he hit the ground running managing critical search mandates across our key clients, primarily servicing System Integrators, Technology Consulting firms and Software Product businesses, ranging from SME, to Fortune 500. Through honing his search and delivery skills over the years, Calum is now a Client Partner, managing a blend of direct client relationships whilst delivering key search mandates across the wider business. A tenacious and dedicated problem solver, Calum brings a personal touch to client and candidate relationships at all levels, whether sourcing hard to find specialists, managing high volume projects or advising on market trends.

With 13 years’ experience across technology consulting and software solutions sales, Justin Laurie transitioned into executive search in 2014 when he joined the SJB Group. Justin’s real world industry experience enables him to engage in more meaningful and authentic discussions with both candidates and customers alike. Justin’s passion for executive search and considerable technology industry knowledge enables him to qualify and attract the best possible talent for clients in often the most niche of subject matter. He has executed searches resulting in successful senior and leadership appointments across sales, consulting and solution delivery disciplines within the UK’s most successful technology services business. Justin recently re-joined The SJB Group to deliver our special projects for key clients and expand our client base into high-growth, new and disruptive technology markets.

An experienced professional with an international background, Shay began her career supporting Fortune 500 companies relocating teams across East Asia, developing deep expertise in fostering cohesion and collaboration across multi-jurisdictional environments. Returning to the U.K. in 2020, she expanded her cross-cultural skill set into legal recruitment. Prior to joining SJB, Shay moved up the ranks quickly within a major London recruitment firm, placing junior, mid-level and senior lawyers into UK, International and US law firms across Corporate, Banking & Finance, Funds, Litigation and Real Estate.Since joining SJB, Shay has continued to evolve her capabilities, now focusing on mid- to senior-level mandates and working closely with clients to deliver precise and commercially aligned solutions. Her remit spans Real Estate, Financial Services, Private Equity, Engineering and Energy, allowing her to partner effectively with a broad range of stakeholders across specialist and complex markets. Well-networked across multiple seniorities, she brings a consultative approach shaped by her global experience and strong commercial insight.
